How to Know You Have Genuine Kayora
The Nigerian packaged-water market has a counterfeiting problem. Kayora is built to be verifiable. Here is exactly how to confirm that the bottle in your hand is genuine Kayora, produced at our Eket facility.
Read the Label
This is what a genuine label looks like.
If you scanned the QR code on the back of your bottle, you landed here. That means the code is working — which is the first good sign. Now check the four things on the label that cannot be faked without access to our registered information.
NAFDAC Reg. A1-111026
Printed clearly on every genuine label. This is the number you can verify independently on the NAFDAC portal.
SON MANCAP Certified
FT-29179 (30cl / 50cl / 75cl) and FT-29180 (18.9L) — both visible on label and independent of NAFDAC.
Production batch code
Appears on the label or bottle shoulder. Clear, legible, and not smudged. If it is missing, that bottle has not passed our line.

The QR code on the back label is the one that brought you to this page. If the code on your bottle points somewhere else, it is not genuine Kayora.

Five Things to Check

The steam-cleaned, ozone-sterilised, tamper-evident cap.
Every genuine Kayora cap is steam-cleaned and ozone-sterilised before it is applied and sealed at the plant. If the cap band has separated, the seal is broken, or the cap turns freely without resistance, do not consume it.

The NAFDAC registration number.
Genuine Kayora carries NAFDAC Registration Number A1-111026. If the number is missing, different, or illegible, treat the product as suspect.

The batch and production code.
Every batch is coded. A genuine bottle has a clear production date and batch code on the shoulder of the bottle — not smudged, not absent.

The label.
The Kayora label is crisp, correctly spelled, with the Kayora logo, "Premium Purified Water", and the correct size (30cl, 50cl, 75cl, or 18.9L). Blurry printing, misspellings, or colour that looks off are warning signs.

The barcode and QR code.
Genuine Kayora bottles carry a barcode and QR code. A missing or non-functioning code is a red flag.
If You Suspect a Counterfeit
If a product claims to be Kayora but fails any of these checks, please do not consume it, and report it to us at info@kaybibeverage.com or 0904 078 9918 with the place of purchase if possible. Counterfeiting endangers consumers and we act on every credible report, including with NAFDAC where appropriate.
